Elevators and Their Functions
1. Purpose: Elevators are designed to move grain from one point to another, usually to positions above the ground. This allows the grain to be transferred to storage silos or processing facilities.
2. Structure: It generally has a body made of steel or durable materials, and inside there is a belt or chain that carries the grain. This belt or chain moves the grain upward.
3. Working Principle: The elevator works with engine power. By rotating the belt or chain, the motor picks up the grain from the bottom and carries it upwards. Grain is collected or directed at the top of the elevator.
4. Advantages:
• Efficiency: It shortens processing times by enabling high capacity transportation.
• Precise Control: Allows regular management of grain flow.
• Long Life: Provides long-term use thanks to its durable structure.
5. Areas of Use: It is widely used in elevators, grain silos, food processing facilities and agricultural enterprises.
