Control Systems Detailed Description

Efesilo uses MCC Panels and PLC-SCADA system made by OBI-Elektrik to reliably command and control the machines it uses in the system.

While MCC panels are used in simple grain storage systems, Efesilo recommends PLC-SCADA systems in large and more complex systems. While MCC panels operate the system manually, PLC-SCADA does not require expertise as it provides fully automatic control.

Efesilo prefers high-quality brands such as Siemens, Schneider Electric (Telemecanique) and Phoenix Contact, which are world-renowned and reliable in switchgear materials for both PLC-SCADA and MCC panels control systems.

The PLC-SCADA control system provided by Efesilo provides management and control of the entire system from a single point.

Thanks to the software specially prepared for each grain storage system, all errors that the operator may make are calculated in advance and the system is made error-proof.

The operator is warned by the system about detecting and eliminating possible malfunctions that may occur in operating equipment and power panels, the operator is informed exactly where the fault is and provides the opportunity to intervene in a short time.

It is possible to see what the system is doing instantly and therefore it is possible to intervene in the running system instantly.

In addition to the automatic stopping of the system in case of potentially dangerous situations, a sudden stop can be made with the Emergency Stop buttons located in the necessary places within the system, thus maximizing personnel safety.

What Do Control Systems Do?

Control systems are technological systems used in various industrial, automation and technological applications, designed to ensure the desired performance of a process or system, to ensure stable operation and to achieve determined goals. These systems typically include a number of components such as sensors, controllers, processing units, and actuators.

The basic function of control systems is to monitor the dynamics of a process or system, receive feedback, analyze this information, and then implement the necessary corrective actions. In this way, the system can be directed to a specified reference value or target. Control systems are widely used in many areas such as energy management, industrial production, traffic control, remote control systems and building automation, as well as automation.

Control Systems Usage Areas

Control systems are used in a wide range of industrial, commercial and technological applications. The usage areas of these systems can be listed as follows:

  1. Industrial Automation: Control systems are used to automate production processes and manage machinery and equipment in industrial facilities. In this way, production efficiency increases and costs decrease.
  2. Energy Management: Control systems in power plants, wind energy facilities and other energy production facilities increase energy efficiency by managing energy production, distribution and consumption.
  3. Transportation Systems: Transportation systems such as traffic lights, subway lines, railway signal systems, and air traffic control systems are managed by control systems. These systems increase security and regulate traffic flow.
  4. Building Automation: HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) systems, lighting, security and other building systems can be automated using control systems. This increases energy efficiency and optimizes comfort.
  5. Production Line Control: Production lines in factories are managed with control systems. These systems optimize material flow, monitor production processes and minimize errors.
  6. Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities: Water treatment plants, water storage tanks and wastewater treatment facilities are managed by control systems. They are used to control water quality and optimize processes.
  7. Remote Control and Robotic Systems: Control systems manage remote control systems and robotic applications. This enables safe control of machines operating in hazardous or remote environments.
  8. Medical Devices: Control systems are used in many applications such as dosage control in medical devices, patient monitoring and surgical robotic systems.

These areas of use show that control systems have a wide range of applications and play an important role in many industries and sectors. These systems are essential tools for optimizing processes, increasing security and managing resources effectively.
